Picture a small DTC skincare brand with about $800 a month for creative. Do paid UGC creators beat the founder talking to camera in a messy kitchen? My bet is the founder wins on hook, because three creators give you three polished takes, and the first two seconds tend to look like an ad no matter who's on screen. That kills the scroll-stop. The founder version doesn't read as a pitch, so people stay.
I think hook matters more than production polish at this budget, so I'd put the money into hook variety rather than fancier shoots. Has anyone run a clean split with the same offer and audience? I'd like to see hook rate and cost per click on each.
