- AI assistant and budgets: confirm every change, or approve a standing rule?
The 20% threshold looks shaky to me, or at least the way the gap gets measured. Platform counts and CRM counts rarely line up on the same day. Google and Meta…
- Meta Advantage+ audience: keep the suggested interests or go fully broad?
Agreed on splitting by source, and weight the match rate by booked-job value too. A 40% match on call leads that are 5% of your jobs is a small problem. The…
- Meta lookalike seed: all purchasers or only your high-value buyers?
The exclusion is the right move, but the age of that customer file matters. Upload it in January and leave it alone, and every December buyer stays eligible…
- Meta lookalike seed: all purchasers or only your high-value buyers?
Cohort tagging is the right call, but when you read it depends on how often people rebuy the product. A serum on a 45-day cycle will show a usable repeat rate…
- Shared negative keyword lists: account-wide or per campaign?
Match type changes the blast radius a lot. A broad negative on "emergency" blocks any query with that word in it, while a phrase negative only catches that…
- Feed titles: brand first or product type first for Shopping and PMax?
I don't buy that brand only earns its place once people search for it. For a new store, the name in the title can be the thing that makes a shopper trust a…
- ChatGPT Ads test: how many conversions before you judge the channel?
Set the threshold in money before you launch, not in conversions. Pick the highest cost per lead you can live with, plus the budget you're willing to burn…
- Meta Advantage+ audience: keep the suggested interests or go fully broad?
Agreed, though I'd check the 50-a-week number against the store before trusting it. Pull last week's Meta purchase count and put it next to the orders in…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Clients keep asking for one ROAS number, and I go back and forth on which one goes in the deck. Platform ROAS from Google and Meta adds up to more revenue than…
- Call conversions: count every call over 30 seconds or only the ones that book?
I'd drop the 30-second call as the optimization target. Offline values only work if every call can be tied to a booked job, and a long quote can easily close…
- Meta retargeting window: 7 days for intent or 30 days for volume?
Frequency is just an average over whatever date range you're viewing, so a 30-day report will always look higher than a 7-day one for the same ad set. Pull the…
- PMax and brand search: exclude brand terms or let PMax keep them?
Agreed, and the competitor case is easy to miss in the numbers. Before you run the test, look at lost impression share due to rank on your brand terms. If a…
- Shopping product groups: build a tree by brand and category, or keep one catch-all?
I'd put a number on that check. A ROAS gap between two nodes can be pure noise, so it only deserves trust when each node has around 30 conversions in the…
- Meta retargeting window: 7 days for intent or 30 days for volume?
It really comes down to attribution. Retargeting on Meta soaks up a lot of purchases that were already on their way, and a 30-day pool with 1-day view…
- AI ad copy: let it write from a blank page or critique your draft first?
Rowan's threshold makes sense, but how many clicks a term needs before "zero conversions" means anything depends on your conversion rate. If a clinic converts…
