- Meta lookalike seed: all purchasers or only your high-value buyers?
Depends on whether your customer file carries order value. If it's just emails, getting a high-value seed means filtering on order totals first, and that's one…
- Consent Mode v2 modeled conversions: bid on them, or report only the consented count?
Not sure there's a clean cutoff. What I'd check is whether the declines are spread evenly or piled up on one device or region. A random 40% decline is easier…
- Local Services Ads or regular Search for emergency plumbing: which wins?
Local Services Ads keep coming up in our local services threads, and I still can't decide whether they beat regular Search for a plumber. The pitch is pay per…
- AI assistant and budgets: confirm every change, or approve a standing rule?
Agreed on counting per ad set, and for local services the real number is often smaller than it looks. A plumber's or clinic's "conversion" is usually a phone…
- Meta Advantage+ audience: keep the suggested interests or go fully broad?
Same check for local services, but the source of truth is different. Meta counts a lead when someone submits a form or taps a call, while the number that…
- Reddit Ads for B2B on a small budget: a real channel or expensive curiosity?
Agreed, and make sure you're only comparing click-through conversions. Reddit's reporting can also count view-through conversions, and those people never…
- Discontinued product URLs: 301 to the closest category, or let them 404?
Agreed, a 404 just wastes the traffic. The anchor text in the backlinks tells you where each URL should go. If it says something like "the X200 review," the…
- GA4 'direct' traffic: a real bucket or a place where tracking breaks?
I don't fully buy the landing page split for local businesses. A plumber or dental clinic gets a lot of brand searches on Google Maps, where people tap call or…
- Call conversions: count every call over 30 seconds or only the ones that book?
Say a plumber gets 40 calls a week from Search ads, but the owner reckons only 12 turn into jobs. Most setups count any call over 30 seconds as a conversion,…
- Microsoft Ads import from Google: keep the structure or rebuild from scratch?
Agreed on bidding, but with 12 leads a month I'd skip Smart Bidding for now. Target CPA and Maximize conversions need a steady flow of conversions to learn…
- FAQPage schema on a small site: keep it for AI answers or strip it out?
Agreed on the rewording. The test I'd use is simpler: would a real customer actually ask this, and is the answer already on the page? If both are yes, keep the…
- Search Console average position: report it or drop it from your reports?
Search Console doesn't average your rankings evenly. It records your best position on each impression and weights by impression count per query. So a page can…
- Performance Max brand exclusions: block your own brand or let PMax keep those sales?
Impression share is a decent check, but for local services I'd start with where the brand searches are landing. With plumbers and clinics, a lot of brand…
- Location targeting for a local clinic: presence only, or the default too?
Picture a dental clinic in a mid-sized city. Google's default location setting covers people who are in or regularly in the area, plus anyone showing interest…
- Brand campaign on Search when you already rank first organically: keep it or cut it?
Agreed on the competitor check. A competitor ad isn't the only way the sum misleads, though. Brand clicks also leak to Maps and the Business Profile panel, and…
