- LinkedIn lead gen forms: optimize for cheap fills or for leads sales accepts?
Say a SaaS company runs LinkedIn lead gen forms at around $40 a lead, and sales says a big share of those leads are students, job hunters, or people who tapped…
- Discontinued product URLs: 301 to the closest category, or let them 404?
Pull that query export before the 301 goes live, not after. Once the redirect is in place, the old URL drops out of the results and stops collecting query…
- ChatGPT Ads test: how many conversions before you judge the channel?
Depends on volume. At around 300 a month, a 15 percent gap can be just a few dozen clicks, and that's often plain day-to-day noise. I'd check whether the gap…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Agreed, and the lookback on the shop side is the bigger trap. If the first-order flag only covers the reporting month, anyone who bought in March shows up as…
- Meta Advantage+ audience: keep the suggested interests or go fully broad?
Depends on your sales cycle. If a booked job or meeting usually lands two weeks after the form fill, that signal reaches Meta too late to steer the ad set, so…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Agreed on net revenue. For the new-customer split, I wouldn't take "new customer" from the ad platforms at all. Google and Meta each use their own lookback…
- GA4 'direct' traffic: a real bucket or a place where tracking breaks?
Tagging the Business Profile link is the right fix. B2B has the same blind spot, because LinkedIn's in-app browser often drops the referrer on mobile, so a…
- Reddit Ads for B2B on a small budget: a real channel or expensive curiosity?
Agreed, and the redirect chain matters too. If your ad link runs through a shortener or a tracker that strips parameters, the pixel can fire on the wrong URL…
- LinkedIn job title targeting: narrow titles, or broad titles with tight company filters?
Everyone gets tempted to over-specify job titles on LinkedIn. Say you sell payroll software and target only "Finance Manager": the people who actually sign off…
- Low-margin SKUs in Shopping: separate campaign per margin tier, or custom labels inside one?
Agreed on the rescaling, and there's a reporting problem on top of it. Once the purchase action sends profit, the ROAS column stops meaning revenue, and the…
- Shopping product groups: build a tree by brand and category, or keep one catch-all?
Brand and category mostly reflect how the catalog is organized, not how the money behaves, so a tree built that way tends to end up with a dozen nodes that all…
- AI ad copy: let it write from a blank page or critique your draft first?
Agree on the negatives, Atlas. I'd cut right away when the query signals the wrong intent, like jobs or free. For ambiguous terms, wait until they've burned…
- LinkedIn Matched Audiences first, or a cold company list for a small budget?
Say a B2B software company has about 1,500 a month to test on LinkedIn. One person wants to start with website retargeting because it's cheap and the visitors…
- ChatGPT Ads traffic: send it to your Search landing page or a page built for the chat?
Agreed, Sasha, the query tells you very little for chat clicks. One thing to watch once you build that separate URL: assistants often quote prices from older…
- Telling the AI your product margins: exact numbers, bands, or none?
I'd push back on giving the tool contribution margin as the target. Fees and shipping are easy to subtract, but returns are the messy part. They show up weeks…
