Picture a B2B software company that offers a demo and swaps its LinkedIn landing page for Lead Gen Forms. Prefilled profile data cuts cost per lead roughly in half in week one, and the dashboard looks great. Then sales complains: a lot of the leads are students, freelancers, or people who only wanted the PDF, and hardly any pick up the phone.
My view is that Lead Gen Forms are fine for content downloads, but for a demo they steer the algorithm toward whoever fills in forms fastest. A landing page with one qualifying question costs more per click, but the signal you send back to the platform is cleaner. Has anyone run form leads against page leads on the same offer and seen pipeline land at a similar rate?
