Seeding a lookalike with every purchaser versus a smaller group of high-value buyers keeps coming up. The usual advice is to use the biggest pool you can get, since Meta needs…
A lot of prospecting setups still start with a tight interest stack, and then people wonder why CPMs look fine but sales don't scale. My view is that creative matters more than…
Retargeting windows are a real trade-off on Meta, and the default 30 days often hides a problem. Most of that pool bounced off the product page weeks ago, so it behaves more like…
How much patience you give an ad set depends mostly on volume. Meta's guidance is roughly 50 optimization events in a week to exit learning, and big edits like budget jumps, new…
I'm not sure 3-second plays and hook rate deserve as much attention as they get when reviewing new video creatives. Take a dental clinic running two videos. One opens with the…
Plenty of small stores run Conversions API next to the Meta pixel and have it only half wired. The pixel fires in the browser, CAPI sends the same purchase from the server, and if…
For a $60 to $120 product with a 3 to 4 week consideration window, I'd split the audience. A single 180-day pool gets dominated by people who glanced at one category page six…
Say a fashion store wants Meta's 7-day click plus 1-day view numbers in the weekly report. I'd make 7-day click the headline and put view-through in a separate column that nobody…
Lots of threads rotate creatives on a fixed schedule, every two weeks or so, and I don't think the calendar is the right trigger. On a prospecting ad set spending a few hundred a…
A lot of advertisers cut Reels from prospecting because the CPMs look cheap and the clicks look weak. Take a furniture store on $40 a day. Exclude Reels and Meta just pushes that…
Say you're running a Meta Advantage+ sales campaign for a mid-size apparel store, and the audience setup keeps nudging you to add detailed targeting suggestions and layer in…
Lots of people are dropping seed-based lookalikes and letting Advantage+ audience run broad as long as the pixel is sending a solid conversion event. I'm not sure that holds on…
Take a regional clinic doing around 40 conversions a month, with the Meta pixel on the thank-you page and CAPI running through a partner integration. Event match quality says…
Take a furniture store selling pieces at a few hundred dollars each, where someone wants a 30-day retargeting window because the buying cycle is long. I'm not convinced. A window…
Lookalikes still get pitched as the fix for a small store, but I think the seed matters more than the percentage. If you upload around 80 purchasers from the last 90 days, the…
People get surprised when one ad takes 90% of the spend within two days of a CBO launch with five new ads, but that's just how it works. For testing, I'd run ABO with a fixed…
Small Meta accounts keep asking whether to put a frequency cap on prospecting ad sets. Take a local service targeting a 40k audience in one metro. Frequency hits 4 or 5 within a…
Meta's creative enhancements are on by default for a lot of ad setups now, and the list keeps growing: music, text tweaks, brightness, crops, and so on. The question is whether to…
Say a skincare brand has three creators who made strong organic videos. Option one is whitelisting, so the ad runs through each creator's handle. Option two is running it as the…
Take a dental clinic running a prospecting ad set at a frequency of 2.5 over seven days, with CPA still flat. Some people say leave it alone, others say the audience is tired. I…
Take a dental clinic running lead gen on a small budget. The old playbook was a 1% lookalike off your customer list and hope for the best. Now Advantage+ audience pushes most…
Advantage+ placements default to everything: Feed, Stories, Reels, Audience Network, Messenger. Whether to cut any of them is a fair fight. Take a tutoring business running a lead…
Say a shop wants to pull spend for a week because sales dipped. The usual advice is that pausing resets learning, so you either keep the budget running through the dip or accept a…
Which seed to build a lookalike from comes up a lot with small accounts. The textbook answer is your best customers, and that works when you have a few thousand purchasers. At 80…
Take a skincare shop doing about 40 orders a month on a fresh Meta account. The old playbook was three or four interest stacks, narrow audiences, and hope the pixel data trained…
Meta's automatic creative enhancements (cropping, brightness, generated text variations) are on by default in a lot of accounts now. For anything with a specific brand look or a…
Picture a dental clinic running Meta lead ads. The default report shows 7-day click plus 1-day view, the dashboard looks great every week, and then the CRM shows fewer booked…
Plenty of people still put every hook in its own ad set so each gets an equal slice of budget. I get the logic, but on a small budget it usually slows you down. Say you've got…
You've got a TikTok creative with a strong hook and want it on Reels too. One camp says upload the same file, since the audiences overlap and reshooting burns budget. The other…
Setting up Conversions API through a partner integration or a server container feels like a lot of work at around 1,500 a month in spend. My view is that for a small account the…
