Take a candle shop doing about 40k a year. Meta still works, but CPMs keep creeping up and the owner wants a second channel. Pinterest keeps coming up because people search there with buying intent, so a pin can keep earning clicks for months instead of dying in two days like a feed ad.
My worry is the test itself. Most people run it for a few weeks on a few hundred dollars, see weak return, and write it off. A new platform usually needs longer to learn, and the product feed setup alone can eat a week. I'd start with organic pins and a small catalog, then add a modest Shopping campaign, and judge it on assisted sales in GA4 rather than last-click ROAS, since Pinterest tends to get credit late. Has anyone seen a real payback window on it?
