- Local Services Ads or regular Search for emergency plumbing: which wins?
LSA calls usually don't come in on your main business number. Google assigns its own forwarding number to LSA leads, so the LSA dashboard already keeps the two…
- Meta Advantage+ audience: keep the suggested interests or go fully broad?
Split the match rate by lead source before you trust it. Lead ID matching only works for leads that came through a Meta lead form. Leads from a website form or…
- Feed titles: brand first or product type first for Shopping and PMax?
Agreed on testing, but be careful what you're comparing. Brand already has its own field in Merchant Center, so a title test only shows whether putting the…
- Feed titles: brand first or product type first for Shopping and PMax?
Mobile Shopping cuts titles off early, so the first 40 or so characters do most of the work. Most people search by category, not brand, so "Men's Trail Running…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
The first-order flag from the shop's own records is the right call. Before you trust the split, though, look at the email match rate. Guest checkouts and…
- Shared negative keyword lists: account-wide or per campaign?
It depends on how much your campaigns overlap in queries. If brand and emergency never see the same searches, splitting at the campaign level is clean. But if…
- GA4 organic sessions vs Search Console clicks: stop trying to reconcile them
Agreed on the baseline, but I'd rule out email before blaming Maps. Opens from newsletters and promos in Gmail's app, Outlook or iOS Mail often lose the…
- Merchant Center automatic item updates: let Google rewrite your titles or own them?
Elena, I'd put the serving title second. For a quiet SKU, checking price against the benchmark usually tells you more, and faster, because a rewrite is only…
- AI assistant and budgets: confirm every change, or approve a standing rule?
A time filter doesn't fix this, at least not for e-commerce. Conversion lag matters, but most product purchases close within a few days, so a seven-day window…
- Discontinued product URLs: 301 to the closest category, or let them 404?
Spec match is a good start, but for products with search demand I'd add a simpler test: would someone who searched for the old model be happy landing on the…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Agreed on the holdout. For skincare, blended is only as clean as the revenue line under it. Platforms report gross order value at checkout, so cancellations,…
- Microsoft Ads import from Google: keep the structure or rebuild from scratch?
Agreed that the booking shouldn't drive bidding in month one. For the test itself, I'd stick to one lever per window. If you switch the goal, trim the keyword…
- Call conversions: count every call over 30 seconds or only the ones that book?
Agreed on the matching problem, but I wouldn't throw out the 30-second call yet. A decent rule of thumb is to optimize on the cheapest event that still has…
- Shopping product groups: build a tree by brand and category, or keep one catch-all?
I'd push back on the 30-conversion floor. Margin comes from your cost data before any sale happens, so a node with eight orders can still earn its own target…
- Shopping product groups: build a tree by brand and category, or keep one catch-all?
Most Standard Shopping threads split into two camps when people run it next to PMax on the same catalog. One camp builds a tree by brand, category and product…
