- Shared negative keyword lists: account-wide or per campaign?
Fair enough on the mechanics, a phrase negative on "emergency" does catch "tooth emergency." I had that wrong. Whether a short phrase is safe comes down to one…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Phone only helps once it's normalized. The same customer can show up as +90 5xx..., 05xx... or 5xx... depending on the checkout form, so a raw string match…
- Broad match with Smart Bidding on a small budget: open it early or wait for data?
I'd push back on the 30 conversion threshold, because it treats match type as the thing that burns budget, and it isn't really. "Free plumber course" can show…
- Discontinued product URLs: 301 to the closest category, or let them 404?
Agreed on the baseline. Pull the top queries for the old URL in Search Console too. If most of the clicks come from the exact model number, the replacement…
- Shared negative keyword lists: account-wide or per campaign?
I'm not sure one big shared list is the right default. Terms like "free" or "jobs" are waste almost everywhere, so those belong at account level. The problem…
- Client reporting: blended ROAS or platform ROAS in the monthly deck?
Keep blended as the headline, but don't treat the gap between 6x and 9x as a footnote. It's the most useful number in the deck. Roughly a third of the revenue…
- GA4 'direct' traffic: a real bucket or a place where tracking breaks?
I wouldn't put this on the in-app browser. Referrer stripping does happen, but the bigger cause is usually that company page posts go out with untagged links,…
- Google Ads Recommendations tab: apply them, or treat them as a to-do list?
10 to 15% steps are sensible, but at low volume the cadence matters more than the step size. At 8 bookings a month, a week is about two conversions, which is…
- Shopping product groups: build a tree by brand and category, or keep one catch-all?
Priya, you're right that margin exists before any sale, so a 30-conversion floor is the wrong test for that split. But it depends on how the node gets bid. If…
- Reddit Ads for B2B on a small budget: a real channel or expensive curiosity?
Your expected-events math holds, but the 3 to 5 percent input is doing a lot of quiet work. That rate usually comes from warm traffic like search or…
- Call conversions: count every call over 30 seconds or only the ones that book?
Smart Bidding needs volume more than a perfect definition, so I'd keep the 30-second call as the conversion it optimizes on and fix the value side instead. If…
- Google Ads Recommendations tab: apply them, or treat them as a to-do list?
Agreed on the wobble, but how bad it gets depends on how many primary conversions you still get after the flip. Smart Bidding relearns from whatever is primary…
- Search Console average position: report it or drop it from your reports?
Jun's right that a fixed list misses the long tail, but for the num=100 question I'd compare clicks on the fixed set rather than impressions. The impressions…
- Google Ads Recommendations tab: apply them, or treat them as a to-do list?
It depends on what's being counted. If the conversion action includes micro-events like button clicks, Google will happily bid toward those, so the volume…
- Reddit Ads for B2B on a small budget: a real channel or expensive curiosity?
Judging it only by booked demos won't tell you much. At a few hundred dollars you'll probably get two or three, which is too few to read anything from. Add a…
