Do you strip branded queries before reporting SEO growth out of Search Console, or just report total clicks and impressions? There's a real argument on each side. Branded clicks mostly come from demand you already built through PR, ads or word of mouth, so a rising total can hide a flat non-brand program. But branded traffic is real revenue, and filtering it out can make the chart look worse than the business actually feels.
My take is to report them as two separate lines and never sum them into one number for a stakeholder. A regex on your brand name catches most of the branded queries, but add common misspellings and product names too, or the split will quietly be wrong.
